PAAF Scholarships
When are scholarship applications available to fill out?
Scholarships will be available by no later than January 31 each year.

Who is eligible to receive a scholarship?
AYES students, apprenticeship participants and students involved in a manufacturer program.

How is my scholarship paid?
Scholarships are paid to the respective school that the awardees are attending. Scholarships are paid once PAA receives an invoice from the school.

What happens if I cannot find a job or I loose my employment with a new car or truck dealer?
All scholarship recipients must find another job at a new car or truck dealer or the recipient must forfeit the scholarship.

Approximately how long does it take to complete each of the apprenticeship programs?
The Maintenance Specialist Apprenticeship program takes approximately 2 years to complete. The Technician Apprenticeship program takes approximately 4 to 5 years.

PAAF Donor Advised Accounts
What is a donor advised account?
A donor advised fund is a charitable giving vehicle administered by PAA Foundation and created for the purpose of managing charitable donations on behalf of an organization, family or individual. It offers the opportunity to create a low cost, flexible vehicle for charitable giving as an alternative to direct giving or creating a private foundation. Donors enjoy administrative convenience, cost savings and tax advantages by conducting their grant making through the fund.

How do I start a donor advised account?
Contact PAAF at 717-255-8311 ext. 3351. You may open a Donor Advised Account with an opening donation of $25,000 or more.

What are the advantages to starting an account within the PAA Foundation?
Consolidate all your charitable giving in one fund and let the Foundation manage the administrative services, at no charge or a small fee, so you are free to focus on making an impact.

What are the tax advantages?
Unlike gifts to private foundations that are limited to a 30% deduction based on a Donor’s adjusted gross income, charitable contributions to Community Foundations can be deducted for amounts up to 50% of a Donor’s adjusted gross income.

Can I add to my fund?
Yes, you can add to your existing fund at any time with cash, stock or other property.

Will I receive a gift receipt for my tax records?
Yes. The PAA Foundation acknowledges gifts by mail quickly, usually within a week of being received.

Can my giving be anonymous?
Yes. If desired, your anonymity will be maintained permanently or can be customized for each grant you make. Additionally, Donor Advised Funds offer the advantage of privacy from the public.
